You might find the process of creating that signature seems to hang at 99%. This project is a “short” so that would be a good type or kind for setting up the Composition Parameters.Īdding a XML Digital Signature is a good idea, it detects if your DCP has been corrupted in transit. Use the Title Generator, as the DCI specification has a tightly controlled title naming system. This project does not have subtitles, so skip over that step and go to the DCP tab. Optional: Check listen to the audio.mxf using VLC. Set the output file to be “audio.mxf” to be saved in the “mxf” folder, and create the MXF file. Match those up with the six files created with sox earlier. There are now six input files required (in order): Staying with the MXF tab, change the type option to “WAV” and select input type “Mono” and output type “5.1”. Set the picture input to your “j2k” folder, and the output should have filename “video.mxf” in the “mxf” folder. Leave Stereoscopic and Slideshow unselected. The options should be JPEG2000, SMPTE, frame rate 24. Convert the sequence of JPEG2000 images (“j2k” folder) in to an MXF file. Optional: Check one or two sample images from the “j2k” folder, by opening them in GIMP. Set the input directory to your “tiff” folder, and the output folder to your “j2k” folder. The default options should be correct (OpenJPEG, Cinema 2K, 24 frame rate, 125Mb/s bandwidth, sRGB source, X’Y’Z’ Transform, DPX Logarithmic does not matter for tiff input, DCI Resize: None). Start the OpenDCP application and select the JPEG2000 tab. For simplicity’s sake I will make that channel appear on the centre (screen) channel in the cinema, and supply silence for the other 5 channels: ffmpeg -y -i 20120624.mp4 -acodec pcm_s24le -ar 48000 audio/audio.wav My camera records one sound channel only, and it does that badly. The frames should all be 1998×1080 pixels which corresponds to the “flat” DCI format. Mogrify -border 39x0 -bordercolor Black *.tiff The target is a vanilla 2k, JPEG2000, 2D, 24fps DCP. These frames are all the wrong size, and need tiny black bars left and right. Notice that I sneak in a frame-rate conversion here too: ffmpeg -y -i 20120624.mp4 -an -r 24 -pix_fmt rgb24 -vcodec tiff tiff/%08d.tiff The first step is to use ffmpeg to convert the video in to a series of individual frames. In this example I am using the file “20120624.mp4”. This is where you will adjust your video and audio, to make it fit within the rigid formats D-Cinema uses. Some other preparation, make yourself a work folder and some sub-folders within: mkdir DCP_ProjectĬopy your video file in to the DCP_Project folder. I am not sure if OpenDCP needs openjpeg-tools, but it’s useful to be able to sample check your JPEG2000 encoded frames. There are some other packages you will need: sudo apt-get install openjpeg-tools If you get errors about other packages not being installed, they can usually be fixed with this command: apt-get -f install Install it manually: sudo dpkg -i opendcp_0.27.1_xubuntu1210_b Visit and download the corresponding package for your system. Installing the software, and general preparation. Consider having your OS installed on an SSD, with your workspace on a big “traditional” hard disk. The sound will grow in size too, because D-Cinema does not understand compressed sound (AC3, DTS and SDDS are so ‘old hat’). You need lots of disk space, as you will be converting your video to a sequence of still frames, and doing conversions on that. An advantage of using linux for this task is that you don’t need to be worried about file-size or filename limitations, because you can save directly on to an EXT3 formatted disc, with an MBR type partition table. It should work on most, if not all, Debian-type distributions. I use Ubuntu as my “mostly-used” operating system, this is tested on version 12.10. Reasonably you could use any digital video camera if you make the appropriate adjustments to the conforming instructions. I present a work-flow to convert the output of my camera (CamSports HD-S 720p). I doubt Dave was being completely serious about the idea, but it set me thinking about the possibilities. At time I was working at a local cinema, which had recently changed all the film projectors for digital projectors. I will call this guy Dave, because that’s his name but it also has a degree of anonymity because it’s a popular name. When I started using an action camera to record my biking, someone asked me if it was possible to play the video back at the local cinema. This might be quite a long read, make yourself comfy. If the structure is sound but your writing needs work, you might need a line edit or content edit to strengthen your manuscript.Īn evaluation edit is a safeguard that keeps you from paying for later stage edits (described below) or trying to publish your book before it’s ready. If the editor says your book’s organization and structure need serious work, you might need a developmental editor. If you receive a glowing evaluation, your book might be ready for copyediting and proofreading. Similar to a developmental editor, they’re not as focused on the finer details of your writing, but rather any big picture issues. They’ll also mark up your manuscript at a high level, making note of any structural concerns or questions they have. The editor will usually provide you with a short memo that summarizes their key points, areas of concern, and suggestions for your book. With an evaluation edit, a professional editor looks at your manuscript to assess structure, flow, completeness, and overall quality. (Also called: manuscript critique or structural edit.) (In the Scribe Professional process, this is very similar to what you do in the Positioning and Roadmap phases.) But if you need help taking your ideas and forming them into a book, developmental editing can be a major help. If you’re a seasoned author or have confidence in the manuscript you’ve created, you likely don’t need to hire a developmental editor. They’ll help you see your book the way your readers will see it and provide feedback that is aimed at helping you craft a book people will enjoy reading. They might make suggestions, but their job is to help you become a better writer by explaining how to organize your ideas, structure your book’s content, and transition smoothly between ideas. Keep in mind that developmental editors don’t do any writing or rewriting. These are the types of questions a developmental editor should answer for you, along with helping you fix what’s not working and amp up what’s working well in your book. They help ensure your arguments line up, reduce inconsistency, that your stories are in the right place, and that everything flows.Īre you leaving out any key details? Is there irrelevant material that needs to be cut? (Also called: conceptual editing or manuscript appraisal.)Ī developmental edit happens early in the writing process, often when an author has an idea for a book or a rough outline, but they need help bringing the pieces together.Ī developmental editor looks at the big picture with your book, focusing on organization and structure more than word choice, punctuation, and grammar. Few years later, it also introduced a water park and that too was the first water park of Chandigarh. Fun City, Chandigarh (Ramnagar, Panchkula)įun City Chandigarh was opened in year 1995 which makes it the first amusement park to come up near Chandigarh. In order to make you familiar with all 3 water parks of Chandigarh, we have not only included the location of the amusement park but have also mentioned other details like ticket price, timings, main attractions and more. The number of visitors is even more during summers as that is the peak time when people from all over Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and other North Indian states visit the city beautiful. One is in district Panchkula, second is in Mohali and the third one is in Pinjore. All three water parks around Chandigarh are big parks and are visited by tens of hundreds of people, everyday. However, all the 3 water parks are located at different places which are just few minutes drive from the city. Out of the 3 water & amusement parks of Chandigarh, none is located within the city. It is one of the oldest amusement & water park of Chandigarh but apart from this one, there are 2 more water parks in Chandigarh that offer a good competition to Fun City. I saw a review complaining about the shower head that made me laugh. My suggestion for a shower or bath is to run the cold fully and control the temperature with the hot. In fact, there wasn’t enough cold water to control the hot water. Everything in the bathroom worked properly and there was plenty of hot water. As many have already mentioned, the room was very dated. Unlike most resorts we’ve been to, they want it back at the end. The check in was relatively quick and easy. This was our first time vacationing in Mexico after staying at many different comparable resorts in Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Also, the fresh salsa and guacamole were superb. The Mexican a-la-carte restaurant was open and gave a beautiful view of the beach and the sunsets, and the pork tacos were awesome. My breakfasts were fruit (a huge variety). Many items at the buffet were made with dairy, so I avoided them. Or I used the fish or grilled chicken from the buffet to build tacos myself. I ate a lot of tacos, which I built myself at their taco bar at the buffet. Let them know if you have a dietary issue (I am allergic to dairy, so they brought in some soy milk for me, which a lady who arrived the day before I left was very happy to hear, as her whole family were dairy free). The nightly shows were great from Circus, to Magic, to Latin dance, to movie night. I took daily walks down the beach and hung out by the pool reading. The recreation staff, especially Nilson, are fantastic and really engage the teens. It is such a safe property, is small in relation to the others around it, and has a real family feel. He also spent lots of time in the water riding the waves on boogie boards, to playing poker, to eating with his new friends. If you have kids/teenagers, this is a great place to go! My son met up with other teens and had a great time doing all of the planned daily activities, from darts, to water polo, to volleyball, to playing soccer on their grass field, to table tennis, to a variety of games. The resort is old and almost crumbling (you can see the dire state of their rooms, roof and restaurants). Overall, I could have gone to Riu (price was comparable when I booked it). Staff at the buffet, restaurants and bar were very friendly and helpful despite the meager offerings. Staff at reception looked like they did not want to be there, mostly unhelpful. I didn't even bother booking the Mexican one, I was done with it. I booked Venezia restaurant for dinner and it was very bad I ended up going to the buffet right after. There's only 1 buffet restaurant and there's a line up to get in during breakfast. The buffet food was ok, nothing extraordinary. There's no room service so you can't order food late night either. There was one night when the bar closed the same time as the buffet. Buffet closes at 2230 and the bar is only until 2330. Not enough plugs so you either choose between more light or charging your phone I booked it because of the glowing reviews albeit some concerns about the rooms but here's what I found when I got there:īooked a standard room, it's old, had a weird smell and clearly needs some updates. Update February 10, 2020: According to Adobe, there are 85 brushes included for free permanently with the base version of Fresco, although the website is quite unclear about how the free tier works, noting that you can only "start" for free. As someone who doesn't know the first thing about painting, it might be more economical for me to stick with an app like Sketchable, but Fresco is where you'll want to go to take your digital art to the next level without going for full-blown Photoshop. The price of your program is very low, I would buy more. Why do not you make a version Artstudio for windows You have a unique brush engine - which is not in more than one Windows program for painting. Introducing Artstudio Pro, the most powerful painting and photo editing app available for both iOS and macOS. Posts: 1 Artstudio Pro for windows on: October 18, 2019, 10:04:30 AM Hello Luckyclan. It's also a little odd how Fresco is restricted to a handful of Surface devices, despite the fact it could realistically run on any Windows 10 device with an inking tablet attached.ĭespite the price, if you're specifically into painting, the realism that comes with Fresco's watercolor brushes coupled with the ease of use is tough to beat. Version 5.1.14 ( 250.21 Mb) This app is available only for our Users. Whether you're a serious digital artist, or merely a beginner like me, the $10 per month asking price for the full suite could get very expensive, very quickly, considering there are far cheaper competitive alternatives. Whatever else you might feel about Apple and iPads and iPhones, the multi-touch functionality works undeniably well and the range of apps available is amazing. Maybe I’m just easily impressed! Having said that, at the moment, I believe the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is the best possible option for iOS music. Even the controller apps such as Lemur, TouchOSC and touchAble work on iPhone, and Gadget and Blocs Wave will let you create Ableton Live projects from your iPhone or iPad, which still blows my mind a bit. Most iOS music apps run on both iPad and iPhone and for me, that’s really important for true mobility and the feeling that you can use the same tools to make music wherever you go. I find that using an ad-hoc connection rather than a router invariably works better. The Mac Audio MIDI Setup utility is a fantastic Swiss Army Knife for audio and MIDI routing, and if you’ve never explored it, it’s well worth spending some time to poke around in there. Once you wade through the options and the connection possibilities, you can build a Live/iOS rig that includes MIDI and audio coming from both boxes, in a stable and repeatable setup. If you’re using MIDI or Link to sync everything as well, there’s every chance of getting a very neatly cut, ready-to-use clip straight away. There’s also no reason why you can’t continue to record audio straight out of your device into Live, courtesy of your audio interface. Apps like Apple’s Voice Memos let you AirDrop recordings, which is fast and convenient. It’s true that it’s a little inelegant at times to get audio in and out of iOS apps it sometimes requires a few extra steps, but the workflow is getting smoother all the time, and there are apps which make iOS audio management much easier, like AudioCopy, Audiobus, and AudioShare. Step 1. In a jar add dehydrated minced white onions, dehydrated minced garlic, dehydrated toasted minced onions, and salt. Add the dehydrated minced peppers and dehydrated minced garlic to a spice grinder and grind for about 10-15 seconds). How To Make a Copycat Trader Joe's Chili Onion Crunch Even though you are adding oil, you aren't actually adding any hydration in therefore they retain most of their crunchy nature. Why Does This Recipe Work?Īs I noted in my review of the original product, the magic is in the fact that the spices are dehydrated. These are all great items to keep on hand. These items can be used in a wide variety of dishes and aren't one trick ponies. Once in a while a fresh item is past its prime when I get to making a certain dish. I sometimes misjudge or my plans of making a certain recipe don't come through. I can't tell you how many times it's been easier to reach for the dehydrated item, than fresh. So why would you want to buy any of this?
